Different font height on iphone using font

Question

To vertically center my text in a drawer, I use the same line height as the window height. It works great on iphone for system fonts. But when I use @ font-face, I have to declare at least 3 pixels per line height for iphone, otherwise the text will no longer be vertically centered (this is up or 3 pixels).

Does anyone know why?
