Android app without icon

My question is very straightforward. I want to create an Android app without an icon.
My application only needs two services that will be launched at boot time.

Is it possible?

I ask this question because I learned about this SMS tracker Agent application . Here is the link ! And this application really does it, so I think it is possible.
I installed this application in a note by Samsung Galaxy having version of Android 4.0.3, and I can only see the application icon in the list of applications installed in the settings, but not on the main screen of the application icon. Therefore, please, anyone can tell me how it was done or in any other way to do it.
My question is related to this.an old question , but I didn’t get what I wanted.

I am very new to this site. So please advise me if I do something wrong.

Yes it is possible. For the icon to appear in the device’s application box, you must use this intent filter in your manifest. Xml you can just leave:

<intent-filter>
    <action android:name="android.intent.action.MAIN" />
    <category android:name="android.intent.category.LAUNCHER" />
</intent-filter>
