What does this disconnected arrowhead mean?

What does the blue unbound arrow mean? Please note: this happened after I added the remote head and did git fetch.

The arrow indicates the connection in which gitk ran out of space for drawing. The amount of horizontal space used for joining is limited to improve readability.
