How to play .MDS music files (MIDI Stream)?

Several games from which I have extracted some data use MIDI for in-game music.

However, this music is stored in a .MDS file, which does not seem to be similar to .MID or other MIDI formats. The title says "RIFF" and "MIDSfmt."

I searched the Internet for some information about this format and only found that it means “MIDI session” and uses “Sound Imp.”.

I can not find this program or any other additional information about this format.

Do you know a converter or tool for reproducing the obvious MIDI data that is somehow contained in these files? I post this on Stack Overflow, as the information on how to analyze it is also very much appreciated.

Download Foobar2000 and get the component that (Foo_Midi) suggested by JYelton, and then use Foobar2000 to convert it, worked fine for me.

.MD midi files are really another old and rare file format used for older games. (I saw that it was used in some erogenous games too oddly.)

There is a program called "Finale" that can convert .mds files to .mid files and vice versa. The downside is that you have to pay for it, but it allows you to edit notes inside files.
