Apply a discount code to a specific product in Shopify

I am working on setting up a Shopify store. One of the main functions in which they are not built-in is to provide a discount on a specific product, even if it looks like people have been using it since 2008.

Does anyone know how to do this using the API?

Unfortunately, the Shopify API does not yet offer discounts for the product. Its definitely in the pipe, but the function is not yet available.

Shopify allows you to offer product discounts. On your Shopify Admin / Dashboard, go to the "Discounts" section. Click Add Discount:
