Facebook channelUrl is installed, but the connection still shows a blank window in IE7

I ran into one strange problem connecting to Facebook, I set up the FB.init method with the correct parameters, as indicated in the FB developer docs - http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/javascript/FB.init/

They check various places that mention, setting the correct channelUrl will solve the problem, in my case I will install it correctly, but still get a blank (channel.html) popup only in IE7, can anyone else replicate this problem?

Any help in this regard would be greatly appreciated.

I checked the protocol and all other standards related to setting this property, but still no luck. Please, help.

My applications are being tested with IE7,8,9, and currently I have no problem with the empty channel.html popup. What are the steps to reproducing this issue?
