Donation button / link in the free application

Good afternoon,

I recently developed an application that will be sent to the App Store shortly. I want to send this application for free and was wondering if I can implement a button with the PayPal donation logo, where it basically says “Donate for development” or something related to it. I saw a lot of donation and application posts. What I did not find for sure is if I am allowed to have a donation button that will lead the user to a PayPal link in Safari, where they can donate for my development.

Am I allowed to do this? Is Apple rejecting my app because of this? Do you have experience in this situation?

Apple will most likely reject applications using the donate button, which will lead you to PayPal.

You can make an in-app purchase to remove ads or something else. This will take you to the Apple App Store, which Apple allows. And I'm not sure if the app should really show ads so that the buy button in the app is removed.

Or put the donation button on your website, not in the app.
