I see one immediate problem with your main URL configuration. You have the character "$" signifying the end of the URL in your include statement.

This line should read:

(r'^', include('blog.apps.homepage.urls')),

Also check that blog.apps.homepage.urlsis a valid import path. To open the django shell, run the following command:

./manage.py shell

Then enter:

from blog.apps.homepage import urls
