Using svn / git with Xcode

I like to use either git or svn for my Xcode projects, but they should have access to them from outside, for example. from another car somewhere.

So I need a repository somewhere, but I don’t want to use a third-party service like github.

What do I need to run either of the two on an external rented server (for example, excluding one of my machines using dyndns)? Is any web space enough? If not, what do I need?

All you really need is a computer that you can log into if you don't need to share the repo with anyone else. For this I use VPS in Dreamhost.

Git, Gitosis, Git. github repo . , :
