Sharing a custom video player in a Google Plus stream

Question

Does anyone know how to embed a custom video player in a Google Plus stream?

You can share the video by downloading via YouTube or from your phone, but you can also embed the Vimeo player in the stream, for example, simply by dropping the Vimeo video in Stream.

I assume that Google is analyzing the URL markup for a specific meta so that it can display it as a video, as you can do with Facebook Open Graph:

Is there a similar way to do the same with Google Plus?
