SIFT does not find any functions in the reference image in OpenCV

I have an image of a target logo that I am trying to use to search for target logos in other images. I am currently running two different detection algorithms to help me detect any logos in the image. The first detection I use is a histogram in which I view the image for a common area on the screen where the colors are very similar. From there I run SIFT to further get the object I'm looking for. This works on most logos, however the Target logo that I have does not even match and does not indicate keywords in the logo.

I was wondering if there is anything that I could do to help find some key points in the image. Any advice is appreciated.

Below is an image that is not picked up by SIFT:

Thanks in advance.

EDIT I'm tired of Julien's idea of a template based on different scales and rotations of the model, but still got small results. I have included an image that I am trying to verify.

There is no key point in your image ...

Why?

  • Since there is no key point in the uniform color plane (why not have it, since it is uniform, nothing stands out).
