I am trying to learn vim from its built-in tutorial. This is in Russian, so all characters are Cyrillic. Most interestingly, the vim commands do not seem to work with them. For example, I try dw in normal mode with Russian characters, sometimes it deletes 1, sometimes 2 characters in a word. He does not delete the whole word. But it works great with latin letters. What reason?
Sergey, the best option is not to use Cyrillic characters in normal mode at all. Since we use vim mainly for coding, I think that the only time you can feel uncomfortable is editing comments.
