CustomAction <filename> returns the actual error code 1603 in installshield

Question

I am using Basic MSI to install my application.

I receive Error 1001during installation and rollback occurs. I noticed in the installation log that I am getting this error:

"CustomAction returns a valid error code 1603. The action has completed InstallFinalize. The return value is 3.

The Custom Action dll platform is a .NET Installer class, and the property is set to True.

Does anyone have an idea what might be the problem?
