Cannot install xap on Windows Phone 7 using MacBook Pro

Question

I can synchronize and manage music, photos, etc. on my samsung object, using the setup of my boot camp on my macbook, but still, but when I try to deploy a test application on my device, I get "This operation returned because the timeout expired" via VS2010. I get the same when I try to manually deploy an application using the application deployment utility.

I can do it well from the desktop. Has anyone else experienced something like this? Any thoughts on why this is happening?

Fyi. I get the same behavior whether I boot into a boot camp or by merging VMWare and USB pass.

Try disabling the Wi-Fi connection on your phone and deploy. If this does not work, try disconnecting the device and closing Visual Studio and Zune. Then reconnect the device and start Visual Studio again.
