A cross-browser solution with nine patches for border radius is currently available

I recently developed for Android and found it to be a wonderful 9 patch. I wondered if it could be used in web design, so zng ; the answer is yes.

My question is, is there anything (maybe a jQuery plugin) right now that uses 9-patch technology to eliminate the disadvantage of a cross browser with a limited border radius, in particular IE?
