QLPreviewController Detection when loading subView / PDF

I use QLPreviewController to display a quick view of a PDF file of approximately 200 KB, which includes several pages. My problem is that even when using a QLPreviewControllerPDF file for rendering, there is still a 5-10 second delay in displaying the actual contents of the PDF file. (a blank white screen is displayed for these seconds)

Is it possible to hook an event / hook so that I can show the download dialog until a full PDF view is viewed? (that is, display the download dialog the first time the view is loaded, then hide the download dialog on subViewDidLoador equivalent)

Note. I am using iOS 4.3.

EDIT 5/23/2013: Later versions of iOS improved this control, so that on each page, the download icon is displayed by default. This way, I did not have to connect to any events to show my own download icon.

no, there is no way to do this with QLPreviewController. the only thing you could do is better for PDF files: useUIWebView
