Phonegap, iphone - applicationDidFinishLaunching not calling

I am trying to get started with Phonegap.

I added some code to applicationDidFinishLaunching, but this does not seem to be called.

I added breakpoints (log, continued) for each of the init and applicationDidFinishLaunching methods. This confirms that the latter is not really caused.

Xcode, Objective-C, and Phonegap are all alien to me, and so I lost a little how to resolve this.

EDIT: I just tried creating a whole new unmodified telephone conversation project, and the same thing happens. init breakpoint fire, but applicationDidFinishLaunching does not.
