How are people (and start-ups) actually going to prototype / deploy things on Amazon and maintain reasonable costs? Last month, we experimented with some specific applications and worked with our own hadoop cluster and were able to spend almost 1.5k on tests only? Of course, they have micro-instances, but what if the application is so intense that a more thorough test is actually required? So, I would like to contribute to how people do this?
