How can I set up a dependency on a Ruby library that does not exist while Chef is loading recipes?

Question

Scenario:

• Recipe1: downloads archives, extracts them. Creates a CLI that also defines a Ruby library.
• Recipe2: uses the Ruby API from the above library.

In recipe1 / recipes / default.rb:

.. do work
node[:recipe1][:filePath] = ".." #path to file

In recipe2 / recipes / default.rb:

require node[:recipe1][:filePath]/lib/Library
.. do work

However, when loading recipes, the chef announces:

How can I declare / enable the Ruby library after all recipes are in progress?

Using the Gem package, you call the run_action () method on the resource so that it runs at compile time, and make sure the Gem paths are cleared. For instance:
