I have a rather strange problem with PhoneGap and JQuery Mobile using the latest versions of both frameworks at the time of this writing.
My mobile phone application has some “local” pages for the application and other pages that are downloaded directly from the remote site. The transition between the local and remote pages is in order (there is no transition, but this will definitely not help). However, as soon as I am on the deleted pages, any link that I click on the deleted pages opens Safari with the page I requested. This is undesirable functionality, since I would like it to all be in UIWebView, and none of my links are marked with anything special that could cause Safari to open.
It gets weirder. If I switch from Safari back to the program, the remote page I requested appears in UIWebView, however, pressing the "Back" button brings me not to the first deleted page, but to the first local page.
The phonegap application right now is pretty simple, very close to the default, except for loading JQM css + js. This happens even if I create a simple test application with one local JQM page, one remote JQM page, and then the remote page associated with the remote JQM page.
I'm at a dead end. What's going on here?
