Can you have more than one runloop in a thread on iOS?

Question

Is there any possible way to create two or more startup loops in a single thread? Or can one thread have only one loop cycle?

My partner tells me that a single thread can have two or more startup loops inside. And I doubt it. I searched Google but found nothing. So, is it possible to have two or more cycle loops in one thread?
