How can I turn off the J2EE web application offline?

I want my web application to work offline, and as soon as it reconnects to the network or reconnects, it will be able to transfer the changes made by the user offline.

I saw Google Gears as the ideal solution for my problem, which is not recommended for use, since it is now outdated.

What is a good way to make my application work offline, both in terms of technology for use and application development?

This is not J2EE related, but rather with your web client code. One possible solution would be to use a javascript client that saves data in local storage provided using html5 (see http://diveintohtml5.ep.io/storage.html ). This is also basically the reason google transfer was stopped ...
