How to disable indexing in Xcode 4?

Question

After learning how to turn off indexing, I came across this snippet:

defaults write com.apple.dt.XCode IDEIndexDisable 1

I do not know how to implement this. Can someone show the front guy how can I do this?

Launch the terminal (in applications / Utilities) and either enter it on the command line or copy / paste.
