SharedPreferences file is not deleted when deleted

I have a suspicion that this may be due to the fact that I am running a custom rum ... but I decided that I should at least come and ask here.

I am working on an application that uses some SharedPreferences. Everything in this aspect works fine, but after a complete uninstall and subsequent installation, I found that my SharedPreferences values are still matched. I finished the deletion and then pulled up the adb shell and found that it really ... under / dbdata / databases / mypackagename / shared_prefs / there were files there. I would suggest that they should have been removed ...

I use Samsung Captivate, the Serendipity role manager ... Again, I can only imagine that this has anything to do with it, but I'm not sure.

Edit - I just wiped and cleaned Firefly Rom completely and tested it, having experienced the same thing. Perhaps this is a Froyo bug (both were 2.2 Roms)?

This is probably a custom ROM. When an application is deleted or “Clear data” data is clicked, it not only deletes the application, but also the data that relates to it.

A custom ROM will not always do this; it will delete the application and save the files.

For the most part, the reason is accessibility, in the sense that when you say that you uninstall the application (for example, a game) because of the disappointment when you return, you will still be available for use.
