SSL Inheritance on DNS CNAME

If I create an SSL certificate for secure.mydomain.comand create the following DNS record:

alias.otherdomain.com CNAME secure.mydomain.com

To alias.otherdomain.compoint to secure.mydomain.com, will the SSL certificate be valid if I go to https://alias.otherdomain.com?

No, it will not. The browser (or other application) will request alias.otherdomain.com and compare this specific name with the contents of the submitted certificate. The application does not know anything about your DNS aliases.
