Copying and pasting text between files causes leading spaces to be truncated in Xcode

In Xcode 4, I had a problem with a leading space (it is truncated) when copying and pasting between files. In a hex dump, I see 0x20in the source, but not in the copy; this means that the text is pasted into the paste.

As preferences > text editing > indentationI have prefer indent using: spacesand tab key: indents in leading white space.

This does not happen when spaces are completed. How can I fix this problem?

On the same screen, Settings> Text Editing> Indents, try unchecking the box with syntax indentation .
