Does Microsoft drop support for SDF database files in Visual Studio?

In Visual Studio 2013, it is no longer possible to create SQL Server Compact .sdf databases on Web pages (WebMatrix). I can no longer view .sdf database .sdf in Visual Studio. I downloaded the latest version of WebMatrix to open my .sdf database, but WebMatrix failed to open my site. When I create a new empty site and add existing files, it crashes.

I was looking for days to view and edit my .sdf database and nothing works. I can no longer use the Navicat SQL Server application to open the database. I cannot force LinqPad to open the .sdf database .sdf , I cannot force Compact Viewer to open or edit .sdf databases. I can open the .sdf database with SqlCEToolbox40.exe , but it displays only 200 lines and this will not allow me to edit the tables.

Now I am completely at a dead end. How to view the file and to edit the .sdf database .sdf ?

The answer is yes. Microsoft silently drops support (as usual, IMHO) in Sql Compact Edition.

He began to abandon Sql CE 3.5 in Vs2012. He continued to drop Sql CE in Sql Management Studio 2012 and finally in VS2013

You can use CompactView or install SQL Server Compact Extension Toolbox in VS2013 or (my preferred solution) use Sql management Studio 2008

UPDATE thanks to Nicholas comment

As specified by Microsoft :

The compact version of SQL Server is in obsolete mode with no new releases planned in the near future. The latest version of SQL CE 4.0SP1 (and earlier versions that are still in the support cycle) will continue to be supported through its life cycle, and Microsoft is committed to fixing any major production blocking issues found in these releases.
