Recommended Windows 8 Metro Development Equipment?

I am interested in getting community feedback on the recommended equipment (especially touch displays) for developing Metro-style applications for Windows 8. In particular, I want to buy a touch display (maybe displays of different sizes?) That can be used to play on the platform. I use a mouse and keyboard and find it cumbersome in the Metro interface.

Does anyone have any recommendations on good touch screens to buy that will work for this kind of development and experimentation?

EDIT: I found this link on the Building Windows 8 blog: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/b8/archive/2011/09/13/experiencing-windows-8-touch-on-windows-7- hardware.aspx

Has anyone used any hardware not listed?

The HP Elitebook offers a convenient convertible laptop with a touch screen. This is what many of us use at Microsoft.

Samsung has announced its 7-serial tablets, which are very similar to // dev / dev assembly machines and should work fine.

That the Acer W500 might be a good low-end way to have a target device. I believe that it can run 64-bit Windows, but in any case, 32-bit should work fine. I'm not sure if that would make the most of the developer platform, with at least 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of SSD.

$500 "" $1K .
