How can I request an Active Directory account with a SQL Server user?

I have two SQL Server that I mainly use (instance 2005 and 2000.) My permission structure works as such -

First, I create an Active Directory group, and then add all the necessary users to it. Then I switch to SQL-MS, and I add the user by selecting the Windows Authentication option, and then selecting the AD group that I just created. Impertinent to this post, but then I associate the new account with all the required data tables, views and SP.

After selecting the group, I always left the Username field as the name of the AD group for reference.

I recently renamed the AD group. The database continues to work and, somehow, SQL Server knows which AD group binds the SQL login. My problem is that the username is not updated in SQL Server, so I don’t know which AD group is associated with the SQL Server login account!

Is there a request that I can run, or is there some kind of parameter that can help me find out which AD group is associated with this account?

- EDIT -

Thanks to the defendants for your answers. You answered this question, however, he asked for the next question here .
