Sql server agent task runs longer than execution interval

I would like to know what happens if the agent job (with recurring intervals) on the MS SQL server runs long enough so that it overlaps the recurring execution.

According to my tests, parallel execution is not performed, but it is good.

What I'm trying to find out is that the next execution will be ignored, because the previous one is not finished yet, OR will it be queued?

By "queued" I mean queuing queries immediately after the previous drop of the schedule.

thank
