How to use vst sdk in .net framework

I like to make music using mainly my computer and especially like to use synthesizers. There is a wide range of synthesizer plugins available on the Internet that are pretty awesome. I downloaded the VST (Virtual Studio Technology) SDK, which is the platform that most plugins I know.

I would like to know if you can use the SDK in the .Net framework for writing plugins; the only documentation and tutorials that I could find is for C ++, and I don't trust C ++. I could learn to use C ++, I taught myself C # in a week, but using an unknown language and learning other new concepts doesn't seem like a good combination.

Can someone just give me pointers in the right direction on how to get started, and even if you can program it using .Net?

Regards Charles

Many newbies find VST.NET the perfect choice to start with. It comes with some samples and with VS2008 / VS2010 project templates that give working plugins. So this is a great way to get started.

VST.NET provides a framework that structures and groups the VST APIs into manageable parts. Out of the box, it provides support for common functions, such as parameters and plug-in programs.

At the same time, I think it will be difficult for you to say definitively that .Net cannot make a very complicated synthesis either. I really have not tried it, but there are no real obstacles when you pay attention to the performance of your code, which will be used for any programming platform.

Besides all this, there is now .Net Native to add to the picture .. Net Native has the potential to be fast as C ++.
