Make gif from multiple PNG files

Question

I am trying to combine about 45 png files to make a gif, or to make a video or some kind of movie or animated image.

Please provide ideas, how can I do this? Is there any free software that I can download? Is there any Java code I can write for this? and etc.

You can use ImageMagick . There is a lot of documentation for creating GIF animations .

It could be simple:

convert -delay 20 -loop 0 *.png myanimation.gif
