When the user updates the iOS application, the application: didFinishLaunchingWithOptions: get called?

I looked through the docs , but I'm still not sure. Will it application:didFinishLaunchingWithOptions:be called again after the user updates his application from the App Store and then starts the application again? As far as I understand, this method is called only at the first start, and then again if the user kills the application. But what about after updating from the App Store?

According to me, this is called again again. What if your update introduces a new implementation into the specified method? Therefore, it must be called.
