Is there a good lightweight HL7 parser for Java?

I am writing an ODK-Clinic-based Android medical record system and I am trying to use HL7 to communicate with an OpenMRS server.

Unfortunately, HAPI is too resource-intensive for the phone, especially the phones that we use. They will be used to record cholera epidemics for doctors without borders.

Does anyone know of a good Java HL7 parser that works with the V2.5 standard?

Parsing strings usually requires a significant amount of resources (processor and memory). In the open source world, HAPI is the only HL7 parser I know of.

HAPI - Mirth HL7 (http://www.mirthcorp.com/news/mirth-releases-mirth-connect-20). , HAPI .
