System and environmental information collection

In case of application crashes, we learn the best way to collect information about users / environment and crashes so that we can send them to us by e-mail.

Are there any libraries (open source or commercial) that do this well?

Our application is a desktop application written in C # .Net with swigged C ++ code.

Many obfuscation tools include an error report that includes this type of diagnostic function. For instance:
