How big is the problem - screen resolution with the development of Android

I’m developing applications and games for Android, and I just wanted to know how difficult it is to make your games work with all phones. or do phones just scale the application to fit the screens? thanks for any help

Screen resolution is not such a big problem as differences in screen ratios and identifying things like the size of the touch area.

The most common devices that my games and applications are running on have the following sizes ...

320x480 (4x6) 480x800 (3x5) 480x854 (this challenges the faith to try to give a bearing on this nonsense)
