Error EditText? Duplicate text content on first rotation?

I just noticed the weird behavior of the EditText when doing the rotation. Text content is duplicated!

I could reproduce the problem on my phone using gtalk. Just start a new conversation, type something in EditText and then rotate the device. You will get a duplicate row in a rotated EditText. This only happens on the first turn.

Just to make sure that this is not only on my phone, I tested it on an emulator and also duplicated text content.

This only happens on 2.3.3 +

I tried on an emulator with 2.1 image and it works fine.

Can you confirm this?

This is a keyboard auto-complete problem.

I had the same issue with activity supporting orientation changes.

This is an application error. there should be a problem with the process of saving the state of the application - remember that changing the configuration restarts your activity (passes through onStop - onRestart - onCreate). an application may do something wrong by maintaining the state of the EditText. EditTexts in other applications do not have the same problem.
