AWS S3 not authenticated

I use AWS Java SDKin an application that downloads small files about once per minute on S3. The application runs smoothly for two weeks, but has two main periods during which the download causes an error SSL-related peer not authenticated.

The first period lasted about three days. That was not cool; but "spilled out" as more and more downloads threw exceptions until they did nothing for several minutes.

The second period began about a week ago and did not end.

In the forum, AWSan Amazon employee seems to recommend resolving this issue without validating the Amazon certificate.

Please explain if I did not understand this, or what else I should try.

I had a similar problem, but with my EC2 instance some time ago. I used the GnuTLS libraries and SSL communication. As in this stream, you need to encode and allow the acceptance of self-signed certificates or if the server identifier does not matter to you (for example, if you have no problems with not checking the server ..), you can disable server authentication. Then it worked. This happens once in a while, as you said, and I'm still not sure why this behavior.
