Widgets are displayed on the emulator, but not in the real device

Question

So, I created a widget, and if I install it on my emulator (2.3.3), it will work fine. However, when I launch it on my base station (2.3.6), it will not show me the widget in the widget selection dialog box. Is there something I can update? Any idea why this will happen?

For me, there was some problem with the Google Now launcher (Build from February 26, 2015) running on Android 5.0.1. After removing "Google Now" from the Google Play store and then reinstalling it (using the "Update" button), my widget reappeared in the list.
