PayPal IPN _notify-validate throws Error 302 in the sandbox

The second IPN response after sending cmd = _notify-validate to www.sandbox.paypal.com returns an HTTP error of 302 .

If I change the URL to www.paypal.com , it will return an INVALID response . I am not sure where I am going wrong.

Should I use www.paypal.com as the host to check the IPN in the sandbox? I do not think so?

I'm really struggling to figure this out. Any help please?

, , ssl. :

$fp = fsockopen ($paypalUrl, "80", $errno, $errstr, 30);

$fp = fsockopen ('ssl://'.$paypalUrl, "443", $errno, $errstr, 30);
