World / Country Map Data

Question

I want to visualize some plot data on world or country maps. I found this DIY card , but the card is only in Flash.

Does anyone have similar free maps, but are only developed in JavaScript?

There is a jQuery jVectorMap plugin that you can use to create such maps. Custom maps can be generated using a converter written in Python.
