Qt creator remote debugger

I am trying to connect my beagle board to qt creator 2.3.1 running on Ubuntu Linux. I tried to find a good tutorial for this and found that there is nothing in the qt documentation. (I don’t understand why there is a function whose documentation does not interfere with explaining how to use it). Can someone explain how to do this?

  • Cross compiling qt for a board This post should be a reference

  • Open Qtcreator and go to the project tab and select tools -> options. Select Linux devices and add the device. You need to attach it to this bezel. For the host name option, you must add the IP address of the device. In addition, other fields are explanatory. The test button will help in verifying the addition of a device.

  • Then, in the project settings in the "Launch Settings" section, in the "Deployment" drop-down list, select "Create a banner" and install it.

  • At this point, the qt creator should add a tool chain and a cross-compiled qt version.

  • The basic procedure should be completed by now and when the application starts, it must be deployed to the device at the specified location.
