Serial version of uid and eclipse

Eclipse has a nice feature for generating a serial version of uid. But when the class is updated, eclipse does not warn that the updated version of uid should be updated, it does not even have a function to regenerate this uid, it must first be deleted manually, and only then the eclipse will ask to create a new one.

Is there any plugin or other trick for the serial version relevant?
