I have some applications on cards, my target platform of choice is Android, however I know that there are several SDKs around advertising that can write once and deploy to several mobile operating systems. One of them seems to be Marmalade .
This product, in particular, claims to have its own device code for compatibility. The identifier must know before I contact the price, or even develop beyond the intended framework of the manufacturers, these are people's thoughts on this issue.
Compiling on your own code would presumably have high performance, however I assume that it is a compromise when you lose easy access to all the APIs provided by google / apple, etc.
Looking for any other pros and cons, and regardless of whether people who came with something like marmalade came in, blocked road blocks, wished they didn’t make a move.
My applications will not require a 3d engine, which seems to make up the bulk of the sample applications on the marmalade display window. However, my applications, as a rule, want to store quite a lot of relational data and end up in web services, so convenient access to sql compact would be great.
