How to enable "show touch on highlight" in iphone?

Anyone can help me enable the show show on Highlight property for uibutton. I know that we can check the xib editor. But that does not work. Do we have any other option allowing

Use

yourButton.showsTouchWhenHighlighted = YES;

or use

yourButton.adjustsImageWhenHighlighted = YES;

to change the image of the button when the button is highlighted.
