TransactionalMap vs SynchronizedMap

When should Akka be preferred TransactionalMapover a regular immutable card mixed with SynchronizedMapand vice versa? (Or am I comparing apples to oranges here?)

Use a transaction card if you want to have transactions. Use Ctries / ConcurrentHashMap / NonblockingHashMap for mixed read / write operations and CAS + immutable.Map for very, very rare writes.
