Pairing CoreBluetooth with Lego NXT

I am trying to use the Apple CoreBluetooth infrastructure to connect an iPhone or iPod Touch to the Lego NXT. However, there seems to be no Apple documentation about this structure at all. Does anyone know how to use it? What are the available methods / objects? Or even how to use it. Thanks in advance!

CoreBluetooth provides an API only for interacting with new Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) devices. This is a new standard that is not compatible with traditional Bluetooth. The iPhone 4S has a dual-mode BT chip that makes LE and normal mode. Therefore, you cannot use CoreBluetooth to communicate with traditional Bluetooth devices such as NXT. However, in the future, for applications such as NXT, it will be useful to use LE Bluetooth mode.
