Configure DNS records with a hosting company or registrar

It always got me.

I change the name server with the registrar, and then I can configure other DNS records (a, cname, mx) using the registrar or hosting company.

What's better? Why do you have a choice? I usually use only the hosting company and install them there.

the most flexible solution (in my opinion) is to place DNS settings on neutral ground. thus you remain in control at 100%.

it means:

  • set up the name servers where you host your DNS records (neutral).
  • where do you host your DNS records: configure your DNS records as you like
