Is MFC obsolete?

I am currently working on a project that uses MFC a lot, but it seems to me that MFC technology is not widely used these days. How obsolete is MFC? What are the alternatives for this? I am using VS2010 for Windows.

Thank you for your responses.

Windows Forms and WPF are becoming more popular these days, but seeing that the new version of MFC was released just a few months ago (see here ) I would not call it obsolete.

Depending on what you want to do and how important the very user-friendly GUI is, MFC may be the only choice, especially if you can afford to buy third-party components and use a functional package or ribbons.

I do not comment on QT / GTK / FLTK or other tools until you tell us more about your project
