I have a tree. My items in treeview are the names of the students in the class. When you select an item in a TreeView, the data in my DataGrid "StudentDetails" should change. My DataGrid has two columns "Parameter_Details" and "Details". The second column information should be editable. Rows may vary depending on the choice of TreeViewItem.
For example, My TreeView has two elements, for example, Jack
Jill
When I click / select Jack, in my DataGrid 'Student Details' there is 1 row with two columns. The row "Address" in the column "Parameter_Details" and string.Empty under the columns "Details"
Address |
When I click / select Jill, my DataGrid 'StudentDetails' shows 2 rows with two columns 1st row: Surname row in the Parameter_Details column and string.Empty under Details columns Second row: Address row in the column "Parameter_Details" and string.Empty in the "Details" columns Last Name | Address |
I am adding data to my datagrid using a foreach loop. I get "ParameterDetails" from the DB, where each row has a parameter corresponding to a TreeviewItem
Whenever I select TreeviewItem, I make an attached piece of code:
dgStudentDetails.Items.Clear();
foreach (Parameter_Details entry in ParameterDetails)
{
if(entry.ID == SelectedTVItem.ID)
{
dgKeywordParameters.Items.Add(new Parameter_dgInput() { name = entry.Name, input = "" });
}
}
Data binds to datagrid, but when I try to edit the 2nd column using
private void DataGridCell_PreviewMouseLeftButtonDown(object sender, MouseButtonEventArgs e)
{
DataGridCell cell = sender as DataGridCell;
if (cell != null && !cell.IsEditing && !cell.IsReadOnly)
{
if (!cell.IsFocused)
cell.Focus();
DataGrid dataGrid = UIHelpers.TryFindParent<DataGrid>(cell);
if (dataGrid != null)
{
if (dataGrid.SelectionUnit != DataGridSelectionUnit.FullRow)
{
if (!cell.IsSelected)
cell.IsSelected = true;
}
else
{
DataGridRow row = UIHelpers.TryFindParent<DataGridRow>(cell);
if (row != null && !row.IsSelected)
{
row.IsSelected = true;
}
}
}
}
}
I get the following error:
System.InvalidOperationException was unhandled
Message='EditItem' is not allowed for this view.
